We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Marketing Executive/ Assistant Marketing Manager to join our Books marketing division. We are looking for an experienced influencer marketer to join us in a new role specialising in the customer engagement programs, ensuring top-of-mind brand awareness and shaping our product offerings to meet the customer’s varied needs.

Key Accountabilities

  • Self-generate or commission media such as presentations, infographics, photographic & video content, or/and manage freelancers to produce content.

  • Work with content teams to produce and re-purpose relevant content for driving relationship building with customer groups and lead generation for the sales teams.

  • Work with key association and media partners to secure external promotions to broaden reach and exposure of the brand. Track and monitor results of partnerships.

  • Undertake and support market research to understand customer, competitor and market developments, feeding outcomes into own plans and those of wider department.

  • Support the Marketing Manager or Senior Marketing Manager in planning and implementing subject or team level campaigns.

  • Analyse and report on campaign results using the full suite of tools available

  • Periodic travel to conferences and exhibitions and/or carry out other customer-facing activities, reporting back as required

Knowledge and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Degree level or equivalent professional qualification

  • A good level of experience in multimedia production or editing in a commercial setting, with knowledge of Adobe Premiere or similar. Knowledge of production skills, from storyboarding, shooting to editing, and an ability to take any topic & bring out the most interesting aspects.

  • Ability to direct freelancers.

  • Knowledge and ability with IT systems including core MS Office packages (Word, Excel, Power Point), web/cloud based databases, CMS, email creation platforms and/or other bespoke IT systems.

  • Demonstrable customer and commercial awareness – including the competitive environment, potential partner organisations and market trends.

  • Must be customer-centric and comfortable handling and analyzing data, with a driven commitment to improving marketing engagement..
