The Senior Conference Producer will have the opportunity to take sole responsibility for a young, challenging yet exciting portfolio within TMT.

Quantum Computing Series

A new series for 2020, borne out of a hugely successful one day summit in 2019, the Quantum Computing Summit aims to bring enterprises to the cutting edge of emerging tech and into the future. Positioned alongside the AI Summit Series – the largest and fast growing portfolio in TMT, the Quantum Computing Summit will be expected to add significant revenue and new audiences to the Series.



Job Overview


Reporting to the Portfolio Director, the role involves the project management and production of the Quantum Computing Summit portfolio of events within one of Informa’s key verticals. Currently, the AI Summit Series has the highest revenue growth of all Informa Tech’s portfolios and houses 3 of the division’s top 25 events. You are responsible for creating exceptional products and world class events that are at the heart of their industry, as well as the delivery of an exceptional audience both onsite at the events and subscribed to our digital platforms.


The AI Summit portfolio is the leader in the industry delivering products on a global platform with events based across the world.  With the evolution of this portfolio’s markets, it is essential that the ideal candidate is hungry to drive new initiatives and changes.

Role Details


The Senior Conference Producer is responsible for the following areas within their portfolio:

  1. Strategic planning
  2. Event creation
  3. Programme production
  4. Audience delivery
  5. Attendee experience
  6. Product development and evolution
  7. Stakeholder relationship building
  8. Support in account management



This means that they are expected to deliver revenue growth through:

  • The development of high quality, feature rich exhibitions and conferences
  • Strategic planning at event level
  • Putting the customer at the front of all event and product decisions
  • Actively contributing to the VIP delegate and audience acquisition process to ensure maximum attendance of high quality, relevant attendees to all events
  • The development of online / digital events that support the need for fast route to market delivery
  • The development of strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders
  • The building of relationships with key target vendors




Candidate Profile


The ideal candidate will have success at a product management level within the commercial events world, with in-depth knowledge and experience of the business.  Ideally they will have:

  • Experience of successfully producing large scale events and marketing collaboration within a fast paced commercial events company
  • Be a ‘product first’ person who understands what it takes to make exceptional events happen
  • A good level of comfort with the digital world, from community and content marketing through to ‘digital first’ events, and hungry to build this into their event offerings
  • Have a strong commercial focus and track record of identifying and developing revenue streams

Key Deliverables for Senior Conference Producer

  1. Production
  • Extensive research into the market to fully understand the ecosystem
  • Deliver best in breed content and speakers across physical and digital event platforms
  • Produce high quality programmes, driving new and exciting content as well as key themes/trends in the industry
  • Develop new event formats and maintain quality control over all content output from the team
  • Focus on delivering a quality experience for all attendees at our events
  • Ensure on-time delivery of relevant event content and product information for key marketing milestones and associated digital, physical and telesales marketing campaigns
  • Identify and develop new revenue streams and commercial opportunities for the portfolio
  • Create new, interactive features and formats that add considerable value to the conferences and exhibition show-floor activities


  1. Business Development. Develops new and existing business
  • Deliver new products within own Portfolio sector
  • Provide creative input & tactical support in the delivery of new products
  • Take responsibility for key account management with Business Development Manager
  • Build the commercial ecosystem with the commercial team for each event
  • Work closely with the VIP Manager to drive key audience attendance


  1. Oversees event management for portfolio
  • Ensure delivery of tactical plan for each event in portfolio
  • Review tactical plan and communicate across all functions within the team
  • Be familiar with all portfolio financial targets and responsible for delegate revenue growth and overall audience growth across platforms
  • Set, monitor and ensure events deliver, target standards of quality and customer service


  1. Relationships & Brand Awareness
  • Overview customer relationship management for Portfolio
  • Build relationships with key customers
  • Develop and maintain other key contacts e.g. Associations, Partners, JVs
  • Contribute to positive public profile of K&N events
  • Host networking meetings
  • Host Advisory Board calls and meetings
  • Develop as a thought-leader within the industry
  • Build rapport at events and industry meets
