Job Purpose:

The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for the communication / promotion of both our CX Team initiatives and partnerships with key suppliers, in order to increase customer experience (CX) awareness, generate commercial benefits for Informa Markets and enhance the CX at our events. The role involves the strategic development and execution of marketing campaigns (internally and externally) relating to these partnerships and turning multiple partnerships into services for our exhibitors and visitors that Informa Markets is able to monetize.

  • Execution of effective marketing campaigns to support our partnership strategy
  • Creation of internal and external content to maximize awareness and visibility of both the Partnerships and the CX Team initiatives
  • Contributing to the achievement of revenue targets within timelines
  • Supporting the HoP with the building and management of our preferred suppliers and their deliverables

Main Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Developing new CX and partnership initiatives for the top shows across EMEA
  • Working with the CX Manager (London) to enhance existing CX and partnership initiatives for the top shows across EMEA
  • Working with the Marketing Manager (Technical) to develop exhibitor communications plan and fully utilise the marketing technologies, champion marketing automation and deliver results (Eloqua, AEM, etc)
  • Manage the end to end execution of marketing projects and campaigns, including ideation, copywriting, creation of collaterals and measurement and analysis of impact
  • Review and develop the partnership communication on show websites and within Exhibitor Manuals so that they are prominent and visible
  • Work with the HoP to build marketing plans and communicate new commission revenue streams incentive programs effectively
  • Work with HoP, CX Manager and Ops Director to ensure effective on-site partner management to achieve high exhibitor satisfaction levels
  • Support the HoP and CX Manager to develop new experiential opportunities, through market research, telephone contact, industry networking and client meetings


Internal promotion and coordination

  • Developing and executing a quarterly CX Team initiatives and preferred partnerships internal comms plan to maximize awareness and visibility internally
  • Create collateral to increase awareness of our preferred partners
  • Work with CX Team and Show Marketing Managers on new and innovative campaigns to promote our preferred partners
  • Work closely with the Operations Team and the CX Team to execute all deliverables

Person Specification

Background Knowledge, Skills & Experience:


  • Previous hands on marketing experience
  • Proficiency with Eloqua, AEM and / or other marketing automation tools
  • Comfort in executing successful social and content marketing campaigns
  • Computer literate and proficient in the use of MS Office including intermediate/advanced PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Excellent copywriting and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with different stakeholders is must.
  • Commercially driven
  • Detail oriented, creative and innovative thinker
  • Self-starter who knows how to work in a team environment
  • Agile and responsive to changing priorities in a deadline driven environment
  • Content marketing experience
  • Technology savvy. Able to quickly adopt and work with new technology solutions.



  • Experience in exhibition marketing
  • Full understanding of exhibition event cycles
  • Relevant knowledge of partnership management
  • Marketing automation knowledge (Eloqua/Marketo)
  • Experience of working with CMS platforms (but coding knowledge not required)
