An exciting opportunity has opened to join the Amsterdam food portfolio of events as an Account Executive in sales. The candidate will be working directly on the Food Ingredients Global portfolio of 10 global trade shows. The role is to manage a defined sales territory and customer base to maximize revenue from new and existing customers as we strive to hit personal and team targets. An account executive will be responsible to build good relations with customers, help them through the pre-show process as well as onsite at the event. You will be expected to go out to the market and meet your loyal client base on a regular basis attend both competitor trade shows globally as well travel extensively to our own events. The job requires reaching out to C-suit clients, learn about their business model, their position within the global food industry and help them expand into new markets and territories through, phone calls, skype meetings, face to face meetings and social media. Sending proposals, feeding back information to the team and Head of departments via weekly sales comments and sales meetings. You will work in a truly international environment with over 60 different nationalities set in a dynamic, fun and engaging business. Qualities needed for the role
Excellent communication skills are required, articulate, strategic, outgoing and willing to working in a high tempo sales environment. The candidate needs to be comfortable making detailed client 1-2-1 phone calls, conducting skype meetings, presenting skills. Conducting face to face meetings and using social media selling techniques. Proposal writing skills is a must.
