Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Sales

  • Drive growth through the achievement of sales revenue/profit targets
  • Meet with ESLM & ESRNM on a regular basis & work with them closely to maximize delegate registration
  • Visit relevant hospitals and universities to promote & sell conferences
  • Work closely with exhibition sales manager & meet with current and potential exhibitors to propose exhibition/sponsorship packages including delegate passes
  • Meet new business targets by identifying and converting new delegate sponsors
  • Effectively convert inquiries, brochure downloads and past delegates into sales
  • Regularly manage an up to date and reliable sales pipeline

 

 

General

  • Continually monitor and research the market to increase market knowledge
  • Identify competitive events and familiarise with competitor events
  • Account management of major delegate sponsors
  • Process sales into registrations
  • Provide ongoing constructive feedback to the Marketing, Production and Line Manager
  • Maintain and develop delegate relationships
  • Perform high volume of calls
  • Perform any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility

 

Person Specification

Minimum Education Level:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

Background Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Essential

  • Spoken and written Arabic
  • Minimum one year working in business environment
  • Minimum one year’s sales experience with proven track record of high activity sales with a short sales cycle
  • Proven track record of face to face selling and relationship building
  • Understanding of event sales cycles
  • Computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Commercial awareness
  • Capable of working in a pressurised environment

 

Desirable

  • Related Industry knowledge
  • Awareness of the Conference and Exhibitions industry
  • Previous database management systems experience
