The role of the Front-End Developer reports directly to the Digital UX/UI Director and is based in Colorado, providing not only regional support but also respective cover for regions during periods of absence & out of regional hours when required.

What we’re looking for:

Working within a truly global support team, front-end developers will be responsible for creating functional and inspiring websites.  Key stakeholder management and relationship building is critical to the success of this position, as the Front-End Developer will need to work closely with respective internal customers (marketing departments, design, etc.) to ensure content is displayed correctly, messaging is clear, concise and engaging.       

You are accountable for: 

  • Translation of creative materials into functional front-end code (HTML/CSS/JS)
  • Provide insights into design best practices and leverage previous experience to improve website user interfaces
  • Collaborate with backend developers to execute implementations and provide design and user experience insights
  • Undertake checks on own work completed, ensuring outputs are of the required standards and that activities are coordinated and integrated with other team members
  • As and when required, participate or lead respective projects
  • Produce monthly reporting on key activities, progress against objectives and areas of risk or concern

What you bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Digital Communication, or Digital Media, or related field or equivalent experience 
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience as a frontend developer
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of HTML, CSS/SASS, JavaScript best practices and standards
  • Understanding of industry standard tools
  • Experience with mobile-first responsive design, ADA compliance, and other standard practices
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Good understanding of software engineering practices
  • (UX) User Experience knowledge
  • Knowledge of templating language for Drupal 7 and TWIG for Drupal 8
  • Some backend coding skills with PHP
  • Excellent knowledge of solution design and software development processes appropriate to the domain
  • Extensive previous experience of systems development, design and integration or system/project delivery role, preferably with business-critical, high availability/high-throughput systems from a front-end availability and performance prospective 
  • High attention to detail
  • Ensure focus is maintained on delivering business objectives

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with the source control system GIT
  • Experience with the Adobe suite of products (XD, Photoshop)
  • An eye for quality design
  • Experience with 3rd party tools including:
  • Analytics – Google, Adobe
  • Marketing Automation – Eloqua
  • A/B Testing- Adobe Target
  • Ability to multi-task, manage and direct multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment
