•   To maintain and enhance the overall quality of Informa Markets’ data assets, ensuring consistency and compliance with the enterprise data governance policy and guidance

•  Supporting business activities and internal clients to ensure that data is structured, organised, stored and processed efficiently, effectively and meets business needs



  •  Ensure Informa Markets’ is accurate, up to date, consistent and fit for purpose and that any issues or inaccuracies are identify and remedies effectively
  •  To gather business requirements and to recommend and implement practices, processes and improvements accordingly to meet the needs
  • Enable the ingestion, migration and integration of data in Informa markets systems and that it is effectively managed


Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Data Management & Maintenance

  •  Conduct data quality activities to ensure data from source systems is accurate, current, consistent and fit for purpose
  • Identify and conduct data quality investigations to resolve any issues, inaccuracies or to make enhancements, working with the relevant engineering/IT teams or third parties accordingly
  • Assess impacts on the business both technically and operationally and recommend
  • Support data migration between systems, including analysis of source data, data mapping and testing
  • Gather, analyse, and present requirements using industry best practices utilising recognised analysis methodologies (Use Cases, User Stories and Business Rules)
  •  Identify and investigate functionality issues or inaccuracies in data systems or those consuming data e.g. Eloqua 
  • Audit events setup where required, including checking coding and demographic questions and support stakeholders through standardisation efforts
  • Develop and conduct testing accurately (e.g. Registration Forms and APIs, AEM Forms, Validation, User Acceptance Testing)
  • Support the development of data quality reporting
  •  Identify opportunities, provide recommendations and carry out initiatives to improve processes, realise business efficiencies and introduce automation
  •  Enable data cleansing activities
  •  Support the maintenance and accuracy of the single customer view as required

Processes and Procedures

  • Recommend “to-be” business processes and overall process architecture
  • Enable the timely management of consent, suppression and unsubscribe processes and support data privacy processes e.g. Subject Access Requests
  • Support integration tasks including for third party registration vendors, Eloqua and Adobe Analytics
  • Develop and update of operating procedures and documentation as required, reflecting current policies and data standards
  • Conduct ticketed operational tasks as required including website, mail group and payment portal set up, data uploads, data requests, extracts and all other adhoc requests and queries

Service Delivery

  • Work with stakeholders including marketing to ensure post event and pre-event data is available to a specific timescale. Manage relationships with 3rd-party data sources and processors to ensure data is received by Informa in a standard format for more efficient upload to the MDM system
  • Ensure excellent service to customers and adherence to defined and agreed service levels
  • Contribute to relevant meetings and provide subject matter expertise
  • Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders to understand business processes and capabilities related to a variety of business units
  • Perform any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility



  • Educated to undergraduate degree level or equivalent, ideally in a relevant discipline
  • Experience in any related occupation performing business requirement gathering, analysis and recommendations
  •  Experience of managing customer databases, processes and procedures to support the marketing requirements of the business
  • Logical, strong attention to detail with the ability to assess a problem and define and implement a solution
  • Has worked within an SLA or deadline focused environment
  • Ability to define and document business process flows, data standards, basic data modelling, and policy definitions
  •  Experience of working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to be flexible and deal with changing priorities and timelines/due dates
  • Experience in the creation of process and procedure documentation
  • Excellent English written, oral, and interpersonal communication to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity tools
  • Understanding of data protection laws


  • SQL skills and/or exposure to Alteryx
  •  Relevant industry knowledge
  • Familiarity with data warehousing principles and practices
  • Exposure to processes involved in building and executing marketing automation campaigns
  • Experience with supporting or managing data processes e.g. registration, validation and unsubscribe
  • Experience of data migration and testing (e.g. User Acceptance Testing) activities
  • An understanding on Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) procedures and solutions
  • Knowledge of Talend, Collibra and Redshift data platforms and of Eloqua, Adobe Experience Manager and Salesforce (or similar toolsets)
  • Experience of working in a global business, managing remote teams and supporting remote business users
