The Role:

 

In this role you work on customer insight projects across the pharma portfolio, including customer and market research, data analysis and turning insight into actions. Working in a fast paced, dynamic international business environment, you will need loads of energy as you are expected to take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously. As a result you will support decision making processes in the business and learn about the fascinating pharmaceutical industry and events business. 

 

Job Summary/Responsibilities:

  • Support development of Customer Insight Strategy together with Customer Insight Managers
  • Support driving a Customer Centric Culture throughout the Pharma Portfolio, ensuring the Voice of the Customer in every level of decision making
  • Management of research activities before, onsite and after events and feed the newly won customer metrics, insight and market intelligence into Event Plans, ensuring continuous improvement of Customer Experience
  • Development of personas and customer journey maps, including guidance of teams on how to use these tools to their and the customer’s benefit
  • Manage, collaborate on, design, execute, and analyze customer research in order to get deep understanding of customer needs, behavior and attitudes
  • Create research reports and present results, focusing on actionable points of improvement
  • Initiate and take ownership of innovative research projects which results support strategic decisions and drive portfolio growth
  • Analyze historical data (sales, visits, consumer behavior, external data) in order to support various projects such as business intelligence implementation: ex. building tools to assess and analyze ROI
  • Support development of methodologies to improve competitor intelligence
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and data requests for marketing, sales and senior management
  • Coaching (junior) customer insight analysts in their work. Managing customer insight intern when available
  • International travel to events and international meetings (approx. 15%)

 

Qualities and skills needed for the role

  • Master’s degree preferably in Marketing, Business Economics, Statistics or comparable
  • Strong communication and people skills are required along with business and marketing knowledge
  • Analytical skills, strong quantitative mindset and rational thinking
  • Experience in an analytical role and/or data analysis
  • Very good knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
  • Good organizational and project management skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Result-oriented, resourceful, and practical approach to problem-solving
  • Genuine interest in consumer behavior and a passion for analytics and statistics
  • Self-starter capable of working on own initiative
  • Able to deliver under tight deadlines
  • Driven by continuous learning and self-development
  • Willingness to work with a culturally mixed team
  • Willingness to travel
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English (written and verbal)

Other preferred attributes:

  • Proficiency in German, French or Spanish language
  • Experience with survey tools (SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics)
  • Experience with data visualisation tools (i.e. Tableau)
  • Experience with SPSS, SQL or other data analysis tools
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics
  • Experience in moderating/conducting fieldwork such as focus groups and depth interviews
  • Experience with analyzing large data sets and data mining
