We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Creative Services Manager & Designer to join our Informa Markets – Engineering (IME) team. A leader who can help build and maintain existing relationships across our portfolio teams. This person should possess honed customer success skills and a passion for technology, new systems and innovative business solutions. The ideal fit will be innovative enough to suggest tailored solutions to common scheduling and resource problems. What we’re looking for:

Informa Markets Engineering Group is seeking a full-time Creative Services Manager & Designer.

We are looking for an amiable person who can help maintain existing projects and grow business relationships with current internal IME stakeholders. The Creative Services Manager & Designer will help our teams to better understand the full potential of our products and manage the relationship between the stakeholder and the central marketing creative services design teams. The manager will also be instrumental in the ongoing maintenance and ownership of the Creative Services Workflow System for all teams. The successful candidate will also be responsible for collaborating with different work groups and departments to improve customer support programs and enhance customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will manage a team, with strong leadership and team building skills a must. The expectation is for the Creative Services Manager to lead by example and be an active working leader who shares project responsibilities and takes on design jobs as well as to support the teams and the workflow.

You are accountable for: 

  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the progress of projects that directly affect each
  • Provide regular reporting to VP, Marketing Services on the progress of projects and campaigns
  • Creation/generation of reports to measure KPIs on project durations & LOEs, capacity, cost, etc.
  • Develop open and effective channels of communication with each stakeholder that can be employed by other departments and team members as well
  • Coordinate internal projects and determine the best utilization of resources to increase stakeholder satisfaction
  • Become the first point of contact for each stakeholder and establish a strong business relationship
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, and provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
  • Develop and refine team workflows, foster collaboration among team members, and encourage knowledge sharing of best practices
  • Provide guidance and governance of current brand guidelines and ensure the level of work is at part with the best in class organization vision
  • Support the team on design project execution and will have up-to-date knowledge to interpret our business unit’s needs and to design solutions with high visual impact
  • Will work on a variety of projects across our events and media business, including directories, signage, ads, icons, logos, exhibition graphics, etc.
  • Will collaborate with internal event stakeholders to create dynamic visuals for marketing materials, websites and other media, including infographics
  • Will work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software
  • Will think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts

What you bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field required
  • 5+ years’ experience in client services role
  • Proven ability utilizing a WMS
  • Experience with InMotion or InMotion Ignite a plus
  • Experience with Ceros a plus
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Must know brand design and how to build brand design systems and solutions
  • Proficient in programs including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Must demonstrate ability to meet deadlines
  • Educating customers about our process and workflow management
  • Anticipating client needs and developing innovative resource solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and must be able to negotiate and problem-solve
  • Knowledge of current marketing and advertising trends and best practices
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize issues/escalations, and manage many projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as third party vendors
  • Experience in building and nurturing team infrastructures, defining execution processes, and workflows to ensure the team operates effectively and efficiently
  • Self-motivating and takes initiative by anticipating what the team or business would need
  • Happy to work autonomously, but also a team player and collaborative towards business goals
