Key Performance Indicators

  • Managing and Coordinating the financial planning cycles
  • Reporting and analysis; identifying opportunities; reducing waste; improving efficiency and business processes.
  • Ensuring projects are completed on time; establishing and monitoring effective internal controls within the businesses.
  • Working closely with the business, Group Finance, external parties as well as accounting team within the shared service centre and other internal stakeholders
  • Acting as a mentor to finance executives in the team providing ongoing support, training and development

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Reporting

 

  • Prepare annual budget, and drive budget process and assumptions with business
  • Responsible for submission of timely, accurate and commercially-focused budget and monthly forecast packs, in line with agreed templates and timetables for the EMEA business
  • Responsible for the consolidation of long-term planning process (3YP) within EMEA ensuring commercial inputs are translated into an accurate, timely and robust plan
  • Working closely with leadership team determining robust assumptions to drive rolling forecast
  • Perform month end management reporting according to internal requirements
  • Review and approve sales commission and bonus payments

 

Financial & Commercial Analysis

 

  • Challenge commercial team on business issues and revenue/cost assumptions, including demonstrable ROI on all costs incurred, articulate executive insight to management on analysis
  • Provide commercial and financial insight for monthly variances to budget, forecast and prior year
  • Analyse monthly financial results to identify issues and opportunities for improvement
  • Working with commercial team for setting pricing and re-book targets
  • Review weekly sales report and identify trading risks/upsides
  • Support business decision making, ongoing business development and acquisitions
  • Identify and deliver business process improvement
  • Provide balance sheet guidance

 

People Management & Leadership

 

  • Create an environment which encourages teamwork and collaboration
  • Assist in the hiring and retention of qualified and professional staff
  • Effectively manage team members which includes:
    • Setting clear expectations and objectives in Success Factors
    • Providing regular and structured feedback & coaching sessions to drive a high-performance culture

    • Initiating recognition programs to reward and recognise individual and team achievement

    • Taking disciplinary action if/when necessary in conjunction with the HR team

Person Specification

Minimum Education Level:

  • Degree, Master or Professional accountancy qualification with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience

  • Has a good understanding of reporting systems and analysis tools to provide commercial insight
