Goal of position is to manage a sales territory, consisting of set geography and defined key accounts, to successfully and strategically sell clients into defined New Hope Network events, print, and on-line programming.  Revenue should be produced in line with the strategy of the brand/product plans. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Achieve Territory Sales Goals:

  • Reports Lead Account Manager.
  • Meet sales targets and service objectives in assigned territory by strategically selling across the New Hope portfolio – in-person (Natural Products Expo West and East,) on-line (, and in-print (NFM and Delicious Living.)
  • Directly contact all clients in designated territory. Develop and maintain close relationship with accounts to understand their business needs, meet and exceed expectations, provide exceptional customer service and increase revenue spend. 
  • Monitors weekly sales via Salesforce and works with Lead Account Manager and Director of Sales to identify new targets, and existing accounts with opportunities to grow.
  • Manages own expenses and time away from office, including trips to see accounts and other trade events.
  • Provide content suggestions for sales marketing & tools (in-print, online & in-person)
  • Regular and collaborative participation in event and media sales meetings, strategy sessions, planning meetings and post show downloads and future action items.
  • Work with all sales and service professionals to ensure top level support for clients.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Work within vision and core values of New Hope Network.
  • Travel as requested to conferences, clients, vendors, tradeshows, etc
  • Provide consistent, timely reporting of projects and meet identified deadlines.
  • Reply to client communication within 24 hours.
  • Use identified software and tools for prospecting, record keeping and event management.
  • Responsible for following procedures, timelines & deadlines for projects as indicated.
  • Encourage a positive attitude at work and a “can-do” attitude.
  • Consistently interact with clients and colleagues with the utmost professionalism and respect at all times.
  • Assist in promoting all New Hope Network products that Account Manager doesn’t have direct selling responsibility for (data & insights, user paid and other conference and show events) providing these leads to appropriate divisions.
  • Participate in applicable meetings.  If not in attendance, accountable for learning about meeting discussions.
  • Others duties as assigned.


  • College degree required
  • 2-3 years sales experience, with media, tradeshow and industry experience preferred
