Job Title: Xactly Administrator/Sales Compensation Analyst 

Reporting To: Head of Sales Compensation  

Division: Informa Intelligence 


To maximise the profitability of Informa Intelligence sales organisation through the analysis and improvement of compensation schemes, sales planning and reporting for all of the Informa Intelligence Verticals. In a multi-functional sales model applied to a global business it is essential that senior management can evaluate and optimise the cost effectiveness of each individual, team and the sales organisation as a whole.


Xactly Administration/ Sales compensation process 

  • Owning and maintaining the sales compensation tool Xactly, from building new plans through to payroll submission 
  • Testing schemes are accurate and delivered as per the plan brief 
  • Managing the controls required for accurate payout of compensation 
  • Collaborate with payroll to provide accurate and timely payments to employees globally 
  • Create and maintain plan documentation guides 

Sales Planning 

  • Work with head of compensation to establish the sales targets from the budget model and assist in the creation of the planning baseline for the new plan year 
  • Create and maintain through excel/xactly that sales planning model working with sales leaders to maintain the alignment of the overall sales budget including planning for starters/leavers 
  • Support the sales function in terms of territory management/modelling 

 Provide head of compensation with regular reports 

  • Effectiveness of compensation schemes and short term incentives, including 
  • Cost of Sales against budgets 
  • Incentives ROI 
  • Forecast compensation  
  • Reporting on scheme comparisons and deliveries 

Sales targets  

  • Current rolled out targets vs Sales target budget 
  • Sales performance  
  • Quarterly Compensation Reviews 
  • Provide adhoc data and reporting as required

This role is critical to ensuring that Informa intelligence extracts best possible value from its sales organisation as its business environment evolves.  

Essential Skills

  • Self-motivated – ability to understand the requirements and strive to deliver on time and correctly first time.
  • Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, Vlookups, data modelling etc.)
  • Experience in developing and administering sales targets and incentive plans
  • Strong analytical mind, enabling you to question, understand and articulate data in a simple but informative way
  • Highly numerate & analytical with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience with Xactly commission tool or similar application

Desirable Skills

  • Significant Xactly Admin experience
  • Previous experience in sales plan building within Xactly
  • Previous experience in sales planning modelling
