The Lean Six Sigma Leads are qualified Black Belts in LSS who partner the GPOs to ensure correct problem identification, process measurement, enhance solution design and facilitate implementation of world class solutions that address the business needs

To support this, alongside your qualifications and accreditations you will be able to evidence expertise in process excellence and associated methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma), TOM design, and embedding continuous improvement capability across multiple business area

To be successful in this role it is likely that you will:

  • Have a proven track record of building and leading engaged teams on a direct reporting and matrix basis and significant experience in Operations delivery
  • Be a change agent who leads, mentors and partners teams to deliver improvements
  • A proven track record of identifying and delivering tangible financial benefits associated with Operational Excellence
  • A demonstrable track record of delivering large scale, transformational change programmes

Key responsibilities

The Lean Six Sigma Lead is expected to closely partner the GPO with the following key responsibilities plus any other reasonable duties as required:

  • Problem definition and measurement
  • To drive the implementation of process changes that support the appropriate blend of automated and manual process solutions.
  • Continuously benchmarking internal processes against best practices to determine gaps, opportunities for improvement, and alignment with commercial design requirements.
  • Ensure that the company’s strategies and goals are implemented within your sphere of influence.
  • Ensure that you maintain a high level of engagement from members of your stream.
  • Communicate key strategy messages and performance metrics to your stream via Global Communities of Practice and other informal meetings.
  • Monitor your stream’s performance indicators to help analyse non-compliance with its overall delivery and quality performance metrics.
  • Help identify corrective actions when metrics indicate non-compliance, with the relevant other parties.
  • Take an active role in key Global Support projects, initiatives, acquisitions or disposals that impact your process and team.

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Black Belt accreditation
  • Qualified accountant desirable (eg ACA, CIMA etc)
  • Project Management qualification (PMP, Prince2)
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of the mechanics of transactional process stream (R2R, P2P, O2C) and how these fit into the wider global environment.
  • Highly skilled in coaching and mentoring of non-direct reports with advanced influencing abilities.
  • Knowledge of working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows.
  • A track record of continuous professional and management development to personal skillset.
  • Knowledge of dealing with mergers, acquisitions and disposals.
