Do you want to help researchers improve the world? Are you looking to develop a curious, customer-focused and commercially aware mind-set?
Our Authors & Researchers marketing team use digital marketing tactics to attract high-quality authors and articles to our journals. We seek to understand the motivations and desires of academic researchers and use these insights to craft attractive messages that resonate with them. We develop own understanding of researchers - their needs, ambitions and pain points - and share this expertise with colleagues to improve the services we provide researchers to enable them to realise their aspirations.
We are looking for an experienced, creative and digitally-savvy Marketing Executive to join our journals marketing department and contribute to the achievement of marketing and business goals focusing on Author and Researchers.
About the role
The Authors & Researchers Marketing team is part of a global marketing department with offices in the US, UK, Singapore, Beijing and Melbourne. The overall aim of the team is to attract academics to publish their best research in Taylor & Francis’s journals.
The Marketing Executive reports to the Marketing Manager and is responsible for delivering digital marketing campaigns to academic authors and researchers. You will utilise your analytical skills to refine and optimise campaigns with an emphasis on evidence-based digital marketing. You will drive the development of your own digital marketing skills and continually build your knowledge of our customer, seeking out opportunities and communicating customer-centric value propositions.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Establishing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Planning, implementing and analysing digital marketing campaigns
- Optimisation and recommendations for improvement to marketing campaigns and processes
- Customer research

We provide training in digital marketing skills to enable you to develop your ongoing skills and capabilities.
You should be looking for the next step in your marketing career in an environment where you can contribute to the achievement of marketing targets and business goals by leading the planning and implementation of effective marketing campaigns. You will have a good practical understanding of digital marketing channels and techniques and will enjoy the challenge of a constantly changing environment.
You should have an interest in academic researchers and the purpose of academic research. You will have a positive approach to working in a busy team and a readiness to share information and make recommendations for best-practice.
You will be responsible for managing your own time and prioritising your work load, so an understanding of the activities which deliver the most value for the business is essential. You will report to a Marketing Manager who can provide advice and guidance throughout.
