We are looking for a commercially aware Marketing Manager to join our journals division to manage a global marketing team covering maternity leave. As a Marketing Manager you would be responsible for successfully delivering marketing services to society and owned journals in Science & Technology, and Medicine & Health and managing a global team of four (UK and US). The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate strong commercial awareness and have the necessary marketing and management skills to plan effective marketing and team objectives to achieve results.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Act as a representative of the business at all times; contribute to the achievement of global company directives; and participate in interdepartmental projects or groups focused on business goals
  • Contributes information and ideas to the development of the marketing strategy, and work collaboratively with all members of the senior marketing management team 
  • Manage and support team in the achievement of yearlong objectives, staff learning and development goals, and appraisals
  • Engage with editors and societies through compelling relationship marketing campaigns to build, nurture and grow relationships
  • Identify target markets and trends in order to develop digital campaigns that successfully reach specialized customer audiences
  • Design and execute digital marketing plans that make use of social media marketing, content management, SEO, Google AdWord projects, creation of web campaign pages, banner advertising, and email campaigns
  • Collects, synthesises, analyses and reports on digital marketing analytics to inform future campaigns
  • Assess budgets and resource requirements, demonstrate ROI
  • Contribute to reports at journal, team, and company level
  • Think creatively and critically and make recommendations for action to senior management accordingly
  • Show entrepreneurial spirit: adapt in an environment of constant change and bring energy to your work and your own professional development

 

This position is based at Milton Park, Oxfordshire.
