The Events Marketing Manager for Informa Manufacturing Intelligence (manufacturing.informa.com) will be a well-rounded marketer who is not only able to participate in marketing strategy and development, but who also has the skills and determination to implement the details of these initiatives.  We are looking for a highly creative and detailed marketer to lead and execute on event marketing for trade shows, thought leadership conferences, sponsorships, and hosted events. The Event Marketing Manager must be willing to roll up their sleeves and take on all marketing-related tasks, big or small

In this role you will:

  • Assume responsibility for strategy and execution for attendee, exhibits and sponsorship marketing for multiple B2B events (Manufacturing & Technology Conference and Expo and Safety Leadership) across our Infrastructure Intelligence.
  • Build and implement marketing plans around each individual event that focuses on driving conference and expo attendance through email marketing, social, pay per click campaigns, print ads, web and newsletter banners, postcards, fliers, telesales campaigns, video and industry partnerships  
  • Collaborate with event operations and content team to ensure the key event highlights are being marketed to potential attendees  
  • Develop and maintain sponsorship materials and promotional efforts (prospectus, sponsor emails, presentations, sales pieces, contracts)
  • Set the overall look & feel of the event in terms of graphics, signage, website and email design, and overall communication
  • Create and execution on all promotional materials, such as HTML email campaigns, web and newsletter banners, social graphics, print ads, show directories, postcards, fliers, signage, and post surveys  
  • Curate and grow social media efforts to strengthen engagement and increase attendance
  • Update event website on a timely basis to reflect the most recent event updates
  • Identify and own relationships for strategic local and national partnerships
  • Provide weekly updates on marketing analytics and attendee registration

 

Required Experience:

  • Bachelors’ degree with 3+ years of relevant professional event marketing experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of HTML emails, Google AdWords, social media platforms and online best practices
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Graphic design (photoshop) and creation and copywriting of HTML email a must
  • Experience with technology platforms such as Eloqua, Salesforce, etc a plus
  • Video knowledge a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to prioritize and implement multiple projects simultaneously, work proactively and independently
  • Self-starter who goes the extra mile and brings fresh, exciting ideas to the table
  • Friendly and collaborative team player
  • Willingness to travel
