The Corporate Communications Associate supports all members of the Corporate Communications team in devising and creating corporate content, liaising with and building relationships with stakeholders, and playing a role in key communications projects. The team works with both internal and external audiences and across all channels, aligned to Informa’s key business priorities and stakeholder groups. The Corporate Communications Associate reports to the Senior Corporate Communications Manager.

 

 

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with the development of corporate content, and the execution of engagement activities for multiple audiences, that informs, engages and excites, across the full range of corporate channels: internal and external, written and visual / digital, events, broadcast and social
  • Maintain and enhance key corporate communications assets, including credentials decks
  • Support the Corporate Communications Manager, Senior Corporate Communications Manager and Head of Corporate Communications on key campaigns, including project management for communications aspects. This includes working closely with stakeholders across the business, building relationships and trust, following project plans, delivering activities and working to high standards and required deadlines, and providing ideas and suggesting improvements.
  • On an adhoc basis, supporting with Global Support and local / office-based communications
  • Handling enquiries that come into the team, including shared mailboxes and monitoring social media
  • Work with third party suppliers and partners to deliver activities and projects that are on time and to specification
  • Analyse communications metrics and produce reports and recommendations that help improve the impact of Group communications
  • Contribute to the widening of Informa’s communications channels, including the development of the intranet and video capabilities
  • Monitor and update the team on relevant trends in the communications industry
  • Develop a strong understanding of the business and build network with colleagues from across the Group

 

Skills and abilities

  • Excellent written communications skills and a demonstrable interest in communications
  • Interest and experience in design and design software
  • Highly organised and good at working to deadlines
  • Able to work accurately, with good attention to detail
  • Digitally savvy – able to adapt to new tools; experience with Office 365 products, CMS platforms, social media use, design, video editing and coding an advantage
  • Flexible and adaptable – able to manage a variety of tasks and work under pressure, with changing priorities
  • Proactive and creative – able to come up with ideas
  • Respectful of the importance of confidentiality and professionalism

 

Qualifications and experience

  • At least two years’ experience in a communications-related role or field, including corporate communications, internal communications, editorial, marketing and PR
  • Experience of writing for a range of internal and external audiences and platforms
