UBM is seeking a talented individual to join the Medica team in the role of Account Executive. This role can be based in North Olmsted, OH, Iselin, NJ, Norwalk, CT or Portland, OR.

Reporting to the Director of Sales - Business Solutions, the Account Executive position is the primary sales leader of a Business Solutions Group’s Focus-Area Sales Team (F.A.S.T.). As the leader of a F.A.S.T. team, the Account Executive’s primary responsibility is to achieve their individual revenue targets as well as the broader revenue goals of their team’s assigned categories across specific UBM Medica brands within the medical segments for UBM Life Sciences. The Account Executive will be expected to be the ‘go to’ industry expert for the relevant categories assigned to their teams. Each F.A.S.T. team will be comprised of an Account Executive and an Account Manager (responsible for new Business Development) with whom the Account Executive will work closely. The Account Executive should be comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment and be able to develop customized team strategies for overall account growth within assigned industry categories and customer segments. 





  • Identifies and/or maximizes the sales opportunity for assigned in assigned product or customer category, or territory; includes current and potential customers, market leaders and/or strong market influencers.

  • Contacts customers, prepares presentations, identifies and closes sales opportunities.

  • Researches customer/client needs and creates a solution that meets their objectives.

  • Generates direct sales from cold calling, follow-up calling, industry trade shows (attends as needed), and face to face meetings (as needed).

  • Creates a sales plan to achieve revenue goals with manager.

  • Performs research in the marketplace, developing lists of new prospects and lists of existing accounts for contact and/or follow-up purposes.

  • Develops and maintains contact lists for agencies and marketing companies providing services to our customers.

  • Utilizes for all client contact and scheduling, and opportunities pipeline management.

  • Maintains strong industry credibility through visible attendance at industry events, staying up to date on new market developments and vendor solutions; and communicating this information to both key existing accounts and potential new accounts.

  • Contributes to research efforts for new products.

  • Attends mandatory meetings and trainings as required.

  • Provides support and perform special projects as needed.




  • Bachelors degree in marketing, business communications, sales, or a related area, or the equivalent in professional sales experience.

  • 2-5 years of digital media or healthcare sales experience 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and exemplary interpersonal skills and a fast paced, evolving environment.

  • A go-getter attitude who is friendly, outgoing, and able to work in an metrics driven environment.

  • Must be computer proficient with experience in MS Office applications. SalesForce experience is a PLUS

  • Business related travel will be required approximately 10% of the time (80% by air, 20% by road) to attend industry trade-shows, client meetings, and/or internal business meetings and trainings.
