  • To grow sponsorship revenue across the AI Summit series and AIBusiness.com publication
  • To uncover new business and grow the vendor eco-system of companies who sponsor and engage with the AI Summit series of events
  • Prime focus to open new conversations and build level of interest in prospective companies
  • Begin by working closely within sales team to generate and nurture leads for Senior sales execs to progress and close
  • Day to day sales responsibilities pipelines and forecasting across the series of events
  • To generate new ideas for new revenue streams/sponsorship opportunities across the events and publication adding to top line revenue
  • Implement re-book strategy set across the events to secure 80% rebook/upsell rate as a minimum
  • Researching new prospect companies and contacts responsible for making decisions on marketing activities and continue building extensive vendor data base of decision makers to support marketing team

 

Remit of the role:

 

  • Reporting to Head of Sales
  • Opening new conversations with new business prospects
  • Winning new business and account growth through a range of channels, phone/email/Social Media/face to face/competitor events
  • Global responsibility for sales and lead generation
  • Market research for new commercial opportunities surrounding events and publication

 

KPIs:

 

  1. Monthly revenue targets and overall event targets
  2. Accuracy of forecasting both own and team revenue
  3. Number new leads opened each week
  4. Enhancing relationships with key clients
  5. Call Rates – 60 dials and in excess of 1.5 hours per day
  6. Number of new leads generated and introductions to senior sales execs – 10 per week
  7. Number of weekly face to face meetings with new business and accounts
  8. Weekly growth of database and decision maker map

Qualifications      

  • Knowledge of the Technology sector is a major advantage
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years sales experience
  • Proven track record of exceeding set goals and quotas
  • Strong track record of bringing in new business (Hunter skills)
  • Entrepreneurial and independent, willing to be creative, flexible, and have a passion for learning new things
  • Broad understanding of the trends in online advertising and selling
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal and written, as well as strong presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced sales environment
  • Highly responsive and customer-focused
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Salesforce
