The Tax & Compliance team is a global team responsible for the preparation and filing of indirect and direct tax filings, statutory account filings and treasury back office functions.  The role will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of service delivery in line with agreed timelines. 

The ability to communicate well and build relationships quickly will be key for this role, as well as being able to grasp the structure of the organization and how we operate. This role will also need to be able to identify items with a financial accounting from general discussions.

You will be responsible for the provision of accurate and timely financial information to key business partners, external stakeholders and Group functions.

You will work closely with the business partners to understand their individual requirements.

You must ensure that all company policies are adhered to. You must also ensure that duties are carried out within set time limits whilst providing an excellent level of service to all Informa customers and colleagues.

This role is expected to assume some of the following key responsibilities:

Financial Accounting

  • Assist with relevant project work (eg. acquisitions, disposals, restructuring, dividends etc)
  • Assist with corporate simplification process
  • Prepare and review draft statutory accounts
  • Manage statutory accounts software package and provide training to the team as required
  • Oversee the tagging of Statutory accounts
  • Manage the Compliance queries inbox
  • Assist with preparing information for Group
  • Reviewing of any work associated with dormant & nontrading entities,
  • Completion of month end work relating to head office company
  • Assist with the provision of information for audit queries
  • Assist and train T&C Accountants where required
  • Prepare and review assigned Balance sheet reconciliations


  • Assist with the preparation and review of treasury transactions, posting and month end schedules
  • Assist with daily and month treasury requests from Group Treasury
  • Assist and oversees relevant project work
  • Assist with month compliance related work, including account limits, passport scheme and loan facilities

People management

  • Team workload management
  • Motivate team to ensure performance metrics are hit
  • Support communication structures across the team to ensure all key messages are communicated
  • Support Controllers within the T&C team to develop a plan for crosstraining, working shadowing and rotation of responsibilities within team
  • Provides coaching on both soft and technical skills within the team
  • Participate in Recruitment & Selection processes
  • Act as a role model to others
  • Team admin duties such as absence management, holiday authorisations, timesheet approvals, appraisals etc


What we’re looking for

  • Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA preferred)
  • Knowledge of dealing with acquisitions, disposals and restructures
  • 4 years relevant Tax & Compliance accounting experience
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels including a wide range of stakeholders within the business
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced changing environment
